Immediate initiation of parenteral nourishment is encouraged in moderately or seriously malnourished cirrhotics who cannot be nourished sufficiently by both oral or enteral route. Parenteral nourishment is suggested in sufferers with unprotected airways and encephalopathy (HE) resulting from the risk of aspiration in these individuals.Clinic
